The Wuethrich family and Grassland Dairy has made a leadership gift of $300,000 to the community effort to raise $1.75 million to help fund the new Marshfield Medical Center-Neillsville. The new medical facility will include 16 beds, doctor offices, and a new Marshfield Clinic Health System YMCA Wellness Center. +++ The Clark County Health Department administered 320 doses of the Modema COVID-19 vaccine at the Greenwood Fire/EMS District oil January 28.

Tri-County -Area Times Mona Lisa Shutters, is a new photography studio that relocated to Fall Creek from the Lake Wissota area. Jalessa Normand offers all sorts of photo shoots, from family portraits, weddings, groups and much more. The large space allows for clothe racks, changing and make-up rooms, and a variety of backdrops. Not only did Normand find the sUidio space she needed, but she fell in love with the community and recently moved there. +++ The Augusta schools’ budget for 2021-22 school year was presented to the school board based on a number of factors, including a zero sum increase of new funding from the state. The district expects to have a balanced budget for the 2021-22 school year, barring unforeseen circumstances.

Administrators informed the Whitehall School Board last week that preparations have begun to hold both prom and graduation this year. +++ The Whitehall High School prom this year will feature two prom courts. Because of no prom last year one court will be made up of juniors and one of seniors. The junior class thought it was important to include the seniors since their event was canceled last year. +++ On the recommendation of their Police Chief, Independence city officials will be looking at making sterner ordinances governing refuse and unregistered vehicles belonging to city residents. The city will also be more vigilant to assure residents are not exceeding the six chickens limit set by city ordinance, and that the $15 annual permit is being paid.
