The November High Five Award has been awarded to Nicole Witt, local mom and the current SCA Secretary. The nominator said the following about her “I nominate Nicole Witt to receive the High Five award. She exemplifies each of the character traits but she especially demonstrates the trait: “extraordinary”. Nikki is extraordinary in her post as SCA secretary as demonstrated by her creative ideas for service/entertainment project details, organizing and promoting events. She remains upbeat and encouraging even when obstacles threaten to overwhelm volunteers (supportive/nurturing). Being supportive and nurturing shows in her support of area foster families and seeking to provide opportunities for moms of young children to gather together. I witnessed this at a recent D.R. Moon Library event when she interacted with two young women new to Stanley along with their young children, gathering contact information to share with a new Mom’s Group. In addition, Nikki is loyal promoting Stanley as a family friendly town and trustworthy to seek donations for the many family friendly events sponsored by SCA and other Stanley organizations.
