Northwestern Bank has graciously donated $5000 to the playground fund at St Joseph’s school in Boyd. The school is raising funds to purchase new playground equipment since their current equipment is starting to deteriorate and changes need to be made before it becomes unsafe for children to play on. Jerry Jacobson, president of Northwestern Bank, feels strongly about helping out youth and the local communities, and is hopeful the donation from Northwestern Bank will help St Joseph’s school meet their goal to purchase the new equipment. According to Russell Jensen, Assistant Principal and Playground Committee Coordinator, the new playground system is divided into 6 sections or towers with each section costing $5000, for a total fundraising goal of $30,000. Even with the generous donation of Northwestern Bank, additional funds are still needed. If you wish to donate, or would like additional information, please contact Russ Jensen at 715-703-1034 or email him at [email protected] com . Hopefully with enough donations, the new equipment will be installed and in use this fall.
