Northwestern Bank holds Tuesday meet and greet

Posted

Customers at Northwestern Bank in Boyd were treated to coffee, cookies, and conversation on Tuesday, Feb. 17 as Northwestern Bank President Jamie Liebrandt and CEO Tracey Smiskey introduced themselves to local residents.
The meet and greet, held from 1 to 3 p.m. at the bank on East Murray Street, comes as Liebrandt and Smiskey take the helm of Northwestern following the retirement of longtime bank president and CEO Jerry Jacobson in December of last year.
“Reflecting on my past 47 years in community banking, I’ve seen time and again that our great retired isn’t measured in numbers,” Jacobson said on his retirement. “It’s in the lives we are able to positively impact. Serving our customers and giving back is at the heart of what we do. I’m proud to have been part of a team that puts people first, builds trust one relationship at a time, and strengthens the communities we serve.”
Liebrandt and Smiskey each pledged to carry on Jacobson’s commitment to community banking.
“It’s an honor to step into this role following Jerry’s remarkable leadership,” Smiskey said. “His dedication to our customers, employees, and communities has shaped the heart of Northwestern Bank. I’m honored to continue that legacy and lead with the same commitment to service and impact.”
Liebrandt echoed Smiskey’s commitment to customer service.
“With over 25 years in commercial banking, I’ve seen firsthand how strong relationships and local decision-making make a difference,” he said. “I’m proud to serve a bank that puts people first. Tracey and I are passionate about our community and we’re ready to guide Northwestern Bank into its next chapter.”
