Lavalle Williams
1932 – 2021
Lavalle Williams, 88, of Thorp died Saturday July 3rd, 2021 at his home. He was born Dec. 21, 1932; the son of Louis and Winnie (Cummins) Williams in Sparta, WI. As a child his family moved to Jump River WI, where he met the love of his life Betty Gorsegner at a roller-skating rink. They married June 13, 1959. They have four children: Alan & Anna Williams of Franklin, New Hampshire. Gary & Jeanne Williams of Stanley, Wis. Tammy & Lester Larson of Eau Claire, Wis. and Kathy & Ken Atnip of Menomonie, Wis. Lavalle worked at Stanley Corp. Factory until 1978, He then started his own business “Lavalle Repair Shop” and retired in 1994 where he built a second home in Edisvold, WI. In 2001, he moved to Thorp where he enjoyed his hobby of building model train display, which is on exhibit at Colfax Railroad Museum.
