The Red Cross collected 53 units of blood at the Stanley- Boyd Community Red Cross Blood Drive. There were a total of 53 donors, 4 deferrals, 2 quantity not sufficient, and six power reds. Blood drives are a team effort, which includes the Red Cross staff, volunteers, donors, and callers, all work- ing to achieve a successful drive.
Those assisting with the drive were the City of Stanley who allowed the use of the Stanley Community Center, FFAAlumni who donated the cheese sticks, Lions Club and Partners with Aspirus Stanley Hospital members, callers, site volunteers and all the donors who came in.
Upcoming Stanley-Boyd Community Red Cross Blood Drives are Friday, December 23, 8:30 am to 1:30 pm and Monday, March 6, 12 to 6 pm, both at the Stanley Community Center.
