Marijuana and Meth bust near Withee nets police code ‘961’
Don’t come to Stanley if you want to keep your illegal pharmaceutical compounds or substances on you, whether for personal use or else profit. With his naturally superior sense of smell and standing orders to sniff out all mischief, K9 Officer Trey of the Stanley Police and handler Tyler Lewien will ruin those plans.
Just recently in fact, Officer Trey sniffed out 5.6 grams of THC and 18.8 grams of Methamphetamine, following a call from the Clark County Sheriff.
“So this was actually an assist with the Clark County Sheriff’s Department,” Stanley Police Chief Lance Weiland said of the request for Officer Trey’s services, made from a traffic stop on February 3rd at 3 a.m. by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, along Highway 29 near Withee. Ultimately arrested as a result of the stop was Jody Parker, age 41, with a listed address on the State court website (CCAP) on Pray Avenue in Owen, Wisconsin. Booked at the Clark County Jail that morning to await a bail/bond hearing, Charged with four separate counts related to Possession of Methamphetamine 961.41(3g)(g); Possession of THC 961.41(3g)(e); Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 961.573(1) and Bail Jumping 946.49 (1)(b), Parker appeared in court via ZOOM from the Clark County Jail pro se (by himself) on February 4 at 1:12 p.m., being advised of his right to an attorney and then scheduled for an initial appearance on 8:45 a.m. on February 25, 2021 in Room 401 of the Clark County Courthouse, at 517 Court Street in Neillsville, Wisconsin. Conditions of Parker’s $1,500 signature bond include not being in the presence or possession of drugs or drug paraphernalia, and to not consume any medication or drug except as prescribed by a licensed Wisconsin medical professional, these being taken solely as prescribed.
As to the nose behind it all, K9 Officer Trey was not available for comment, though we’ve heard him bark. Don’t bring his nose your way!
