With baseball still a ways as to season play, Orioles head coach Ryan Sturm gave a short preview of what to look for this season.
“First off I am excited for the upcoming season,” he said. “We have a great group of young men who are enjoyable to be around and they want to win. We have an experienced pitching staff returning led by Ethan Soweja, Dawson Ewer, and Alex Williams. I expect a big leap in hitting from last year's team with Storm Tiry, Eli Hazuga, Parker Krizan and the pitchers listed above have spent a lot of time working on their hitting.
I believe if we can gel as a team and we learn how to play for each other and not worry about individual accolades then we will be fighting for a conference title this season. There will be a lot of competition for playing time. I expect to have around 30 players in the program this year.”
