Competing at Tower Ridge near Altoona Saturday, the Oriole varsity came away with a few wins, Janelle Schesel notably placing third in the girls competition with a timed mile of 7:28 and an overall time of 22:28.7. Alexa Liszewski made a timed mile of 8:20 anmd overall time of 24:34, for the girls.
As to the varsity boys, Zach Haas took 12th place with a timed mile of 6:01 and
an overall time of 18:06.1, while Breckin Burzynski had a timed mile of 6:03 (just be – hind Haas), and an overall time of 18:14.7 on the course. Other runners for the Orioles included Jen Boyea for the girls (28:48.2 overall), with Nick Schmelzer (22:12), Dale Sayles (22:15.9), .Vaughn Schneider, (24:06.9), and Chris Marion (25:08.3) for the boys.
