“Our boys played hard at Northwestern and fought until the end,” head coach Jeff Koenig said. “Unfortunately, it didn’t go our way but I am very proud of the ways the boys played all season.”
Going on to say the team was disappointed to be done for the year, Koenig said the off season focus would be on getting stronger and increasing football knowledge for next year. “we have to get stronger and increase everyone’s football IQ before next season,” he said.
As to statistics from the 38-13 loss Friday Oct. 21, Logan Burzynski ran 116 yards with a pass connection rate of 84.6 percent, while Henry Hoel came away with a net loss of 2 yards and a rate of 79.2.
As to rushing, Burzynski led the way with 37 yards in all, followed by Grant Hat – field with 29 rushing yards for the game. Landon Hoel came next with 26 yards, while Blake Paul came away with 15 yards. Landon Karlen had nine yards.
Shifting to receiving, Burzynski saw a net loss of two yards while Hoel saw a loss of three, while Karlen made 98 for Receiving and Hoel came away with 14 to tal. Blake Paul had seven yards.
The game touchdown was made by Karlen.
