The Stanley-Boyd Oriole girls varsity faced off with the Arcadia Raiders Friday, Jan. 24 at home, the finish being 58-52 in the Raiders favor. Caught flat footed by a strong Arcadia defense in the first half, the Orioles came back strong in the second, covering the Raiders and preventing shots before Arcadia bounced back to recover its defense.
Scoring points for the Orioles Friday were Caitlin Ketterhagen (12 points), Bailey Sikora (10 points), Aaliyah Allard and Stella Chwala (8 points each), Syleen Seichter (2 points), and Lula Chwala (1 point). The end of the game turned into a nail biter as each team tried to gain time to score, racking up a string of fouls in the process. The Orioles next play Thorp Friday at home. Game start is 7:15 p.m
