The Oriole girls played Bloomer at Bloomer on Thursday, Jan. 8, coming away with a final score of 39-56 in the Blackhawk’s favor.
Oriole girls varsity head basketball coach shared more after results.
“We played another really tough Cloverbelt team in Bloomer,” he said. “We really run into some great teams that win in different ways. Bloomer has some really good shooters that have super quick triggers. It is hard to contest all of their shots. We had a couple of communication errors and they were able to hit some early threes. We started worrying about those three point shooters and that led to some easier baskets for them. We battled all game and gave great effort. The girls continue to have great attitudes and increase their skill level. We look forward to playing McDonnell and Marathon at home next week.”
The Orioles play Marathon on Friday, Jan. 16 at Stanley-Boyd. Game start is 7:15 p.m.
