The Oriole girls golf team played Osseo and Colfax last week, the varsity coming away with fourth place and 206 (+66) for a team score at Osseo, while at Colfax they came away fifth with a team score of 215 (+71).
As for junior varsity, the team finished first with a team score of 217 (+77), while at Colfax they finished seconded with a team score of 235 (+91).
Orioles head golf coach Devon Wenndt shared more after results.
“We got a little roughed up at Osseo and Colfax after a great start to the conference season in Bloomer,” he said. “Maybe not the worst thing in the world, as it shows the volatility of the game of golf. Being in good form and playing your best can come and go in the blink of an eye. We finished the week strong with a few very productive practices, and look to do the same before trying to get back on the horse at Clear Lake Golf Club this Thursday. The season really picks up after Labor Day, so these practice days will be very important to try and reinforce some positive things and weed out some negative ones.”
The Orioles now head to Clear Lake for the PFC Girls Golf meet on Thursday, Sept. 3. Start time is 3:15 p.m.
