Coach Gustafson and I are very excited for the opportunity to introduce the game of golf to so many interested young ladies. Improvement has been very visible already after two days of practice, and we only expect things to go up from here.”

The 2025 Oriole girls golf season is officially underway.
Hitting the green at Pheasant Hills Aug. 19 and Bloomer, Aug. 21 the girls golf team has 17 members this year, a near doubling of last year’s team. Oriole girls golf head coach Devon Wenndt shared more prior to season start.
“Our roster has roughly doubled in size relative to last year (17 this season), and we only graduated two seniors (both first year players),” Wenndt said. “We missed out on the team advancing to WIAA Sectionals by a mere three shots last October. We have several returning contributors, including two who received All Conference recognition last year (Allie Goodman, 2nd Team and Vivian Morrow, Honorable Mention). Hopefully between the new players and the improvement that coaches like to see from year to year, the difference maker is somewhere in there that will allow us to get over the hump this year. At the same time, we have a lot of first year players starting with us this year. Coach Gustafson and I are very excited for the opportunity to introduce the game of golf to so many interested young ladies. Improvement has been very visible already after two days of practice, and we only expect things to go up from here.”
