Schedule has McDonnell, Glenwood City, Cadott among coming opponents
“We will keep giving our best effort and leave the court knowing we were prepared, ready to compete and gave our best fight. Thus did Oriole girls varsity head coach Alison Becker describe the season moving forward and what fans might expect.
Facing off with the Ladysmith Lumberjills at Stanley-Boyd Tuesday after press time, the Oriole girls varsity basketball team has five seniors, no juniors, eight sophomores, and eleven freshman.
Going into their first regular season game, the Orioles faced an opponent with an 0 – 1 record so far this year, but which closed last year’s season 17 – 1 in conference and 23 – 4 overall. With both a win and a loss over the last two years for the Orioles against the Lumberjills, anything could happen. Following is a short list with some of the Oriole girls basketball games moving forward: Friday, Dec. 2 vs. McDonell Central at home. Game start at 7:15 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 3 vs. Glenwood City at Colfax High School. Game start at 3:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Dec. 6 vs. Cadott at Cadott High School. Game starts at 9:15 p.m.
Check back next week for results from Tuesday’s Ladysmith game.
