The Orioles girls varsity has extended its win column.
Meeting Thorp on Thursday, Dec. 4 at Stanley-Boyd, the team took a 63-13 victory over the Cardinals, after falling 80-50 to Regis in a Monday away game. The Orioles came out strong against Thorp and scored 42 points in the first half, keeping this up after the half for the win.
Orioles head coach Ryan Wundrow shared more after the score was tallied.
“We came out and played fast right from the jump,” he said. “I challenged the girls to play fast and relentless. They rose to the challenge. They didn’t allow many shots or offensive rebounds which was our goal. Bailey Sikora had 5 threes in the game. Senior Lula Chwala also made two threes and had 10 points. Alaina and Ella Nitz were our leading rebounders.”
