The 2026 school year is now in session, and with it come sports, including girls golf.
Orioles head coach shared thoughts prior to the start of the season Wednesday, Aug. 19 at Pheasant Hills.
“We lost a lot of production with last year’s graduating class,” he said. “Allie Goodman and McKaila Simon were varsity staples for several years, and it’s never easy replacing that kind of longevity. Despite that, we still have a good amount of experience on the roster. Caitlen Ketterhagen and Vivian Morrow are our top returning letter winners, both receiving Honorable Mention All-Conference honors throughout the last couple of years. Coach Gustafson and I are eager to get the girls out on the course and see what we have to work with this year. We get the opportunity to host two conference matches at Whispering Pines this year, and are very blessed to be competing at Turtleback in Rice Lake for our WIAA Regional, as it’s a fantastic test of golf and always a highlight for the girls.”
