The Oriole varsity spikers traveled to Colfax last week, coming away with a 3-0 win. Match scores were 25-14, 25-10, and 25-12. The week brings their overall record to 18-2 thus far this season, including 13-1 away and 5-1 neutral.
Orioles head coach Karley Wiensch shared more after results.
“It was our first single non-conference game of the season,” she said. “We were able to come out with a 3 set win. We have some things to work on as a team to be able to be ready for conference games starting next week with Thorp. We are currently 18-2.”
As for team stats, Kelly Lew currently lead with kills per set at 4.4, followed by Amanda Lew with 3.6 and Layla Klisiewicz with 1.6.
Kelly Lew also leads with hitting percentage with 0.294, followed by Klisiewicz with 0.242 and Amanda Lew with 0.238.
Klisiewicz leads in total blocks meanwhile with 22, followed by Kelly Lew with 19 and Ezra Krenzelok with 16.
As for digs per set the leaders is Amanda Lew with 3.9, followed by Kelly Lew with 3.8 and Kennedy Reed with 3.5.
Amanda Lew leads with serving aces with 33, followed by Megan Pilgrim with 28 and Kendall Sikora with 26.
Amanda Lew lead in aces per set with 0.7 , followed by Pilgrim with 0.6 and Kelly Lew with 0.5.
The Orioles now prepare to play McDonell at McDonell on Tuesday, Sept. 22. Start time is 7 p.m.
