The Oriole wrestlers competed at home Friday, Dec. 20 in the Pre-Holiday Scramble, placing third overall with 129.0 team points.
Orioles Head Wrestling Coach Jake Fitzsimmons shared thoughts after the results.
“It was nice to have the kids compete at home,” he said. “Overall we wrestled well as a team.”
Fitzsimmons went on to highlight finishes by wrestler weight class.
“Candin Yeager 157 and Willy Graham 285 both took 1st place. Candin pinned every kid he wrestled and showed improvement from the last tournament. Alex Williams 165, Brody Westrom 157, Caiden Pahl 144, Dylan Seichter 190, Sierra Marten 132, and Ziva Blair 126 all took 2nd place. We had 18 total wrestlers compete and got some of our younger wrestlers some good mat time. Kyle Pahl took 3rd place in his first varsity action of the season.” Full results from the Pre-Holiday Scramble follow.
