The Stanley-Boyd Orioles Cross Country team traveled to Levis Mound near Neillsville last week, with Coach Nick Mahr sharing more on how things went.
“The cross country team competed at Levis Mound near Neillsville on Tuesday Sept. 15,” he said. “The girls were without Vaida Chwala but still finished third behind good teams from Auburndale and the Chippewa Valley Lightning Bolts. Mariah Wehling, Aaliyah Prissel, Lucy Wundrow, and Haylee Shakal all placed in the top 20.
“The boys team placed second, finishing only behind the state-ranked team from Cadott. John Smit, Hunter Ogle, and Cameron Natzke all finished in the top ten and all posted personal best times of 17:22, 17:59, and 18:30 respectively.”
The Orioles now prepare for the Nightfall Class at River’s Edge Golf Course on Friday, Sept. 25. Start time is 7:00 p.m.
