Coming out of last week, the Orioles fell to Bloomer at home on Thursday 3-8, traveling to Bloomer Friday where they followed up 4-12. The losses come following games against Blair-Taylor (0-6), Ellsworth (2-3), and Augusta (11-1).
With five games under their belt and now at 1-4 for the season overall, Coach Ryan Sturm was nonetheless proud of the team’s attitude and looking to clean up mistakes for a better season moving forward.
“We played a very good Bloomer team, and they executed better than us,” Sturm said. “We gave up too many walks and had too many errors and if we can clean up those mistakes, we will start to win some of those games. I am really happy with my team’s attitude and effort and good things are going to come for this team.”
The Orioles next play McDonell Central on Friday at Stanley-Boyd. Game start is 5 p.m.
