The Stanley-Boyd Orioles met Durand-Arkansaw at Durand Arkansaw on Friday Sept. 4, coming away with 36-0 loss to the Panthers. Highlight for the night came with an interception by Braxton Demars that was returned for 12 yards.
As for defense and other statistics from Durand-Arkansaw, the Oriole defense was led by Oliver Hatfield with nine total tackles. Max Acker recorded eight tackles, including five solo stops, a tackle for loss and a sack. Jesse Allard added seven tackles with three solo, and Dylan Robinson finished with five tackles. Deven Parker recorded four tackles and a team-high three tackles for loss, while Sawyer Boos added a tackle for loss along with one of the Orioles’ two sacks. Ryan Bowe, Bentley Swim, Aaron Frederick and Aaron Lew also recorded tackles for loss as Stanley-Boyd finished with nine as a team.
Through the season to date meanwhile, Stanley-Boyd has produced 885 yards of offense, with 478 yards rushing and 407 passing. Quarterback Porter Goettl had completed 34 of 83 passes for 389 yards and three touchdowns against four interceptions. Josiah Demske added an 18-yard completion. Max Acker led the ground game with 181 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries, averaging 8.2 yards per attempt, while Oliver Hatfield had rushed 22 times for 110 yards. Goettl added 101 yards on 36 carries for rushing.
Demske leads the receiving corps with 17 catches for 192 yards, while Braxton DeMars had six receptions for 98 yards and a touchdown. Jesse Allard had three catches for 40 yards and a score, Kaynen Steinbach recorded three receptions for 27 yards and a touchdown, and Acker added a 28-yard reception.
Defensively, Allard leads Stanley-Boyd with 29 total tackles, including 15 solo stops and three tackles for loss. Hatfield followed with 27 tackles, while Acker had 19 tackles and a team-high four tackles for loss to go with a sack. Ryan Bowe had 14 tackles, DeMars and Aaron Lew each had 10, and Aaron Frederick had nine. Acker, Sawyer Boos and Frederick had recorded one sack apiece as the Orioles totaled 20 tackles for loss and three sacks.
As for interceptions, current stats show four. Allard and DeMars each had two picks, with Allard adding four passes defended and DeMars one. Freshman Kaynen Steinbach leads the kick return game with 207 yard on 10 returns, an average of 20.7 yards per return. Allard has 61 yards on six kickoff returns and handles much of the kicking and punting work
The season still early, the Orioles now face Fall Creek at Stanley-Boyd this Friday. Game start is 7 p.m.
