Heading to McDonell May 4, the Orioles came away with some bruises, the Bulldogs defeating the Orioles 7 - 2 in the away game. The Orioles took their two runs in the fourth inning, while McDonelll took an early lead with five in the bottom of the second.
As to Oriole team stats for the game, batting played into the outcome, the team’s batting average against McDonell just .192. Of this Alex Williams came away with .750 while Haydn Gustafson took a .500 batting average for the game, Preston Gray batting 1.000.
With fourth inning runs batted in by Gustafson and Grant Hatfield, the Orioles had five total hits over the game.
As to pitching, Gustafon and Williams split the game, while the team fielding percentage May 4 was .867.
