Meeting the Orioles Thursday, Oct. 6 at Carson Park, the undefeated Regis Ramblers came away with the win, while Stanley-Boyd came back
from a 43 – 0 halftime deficit in Re
gis’ favor to hold things somewhat and end the game 56 – 23, following a series of Oriole touchdowns in the fourth quarter. Those touchdowns came courtesy of Landon Karlen, Blake Pahl, and Troy Trevino, with extra points from a field kick by Simon Polman and run by Logan Burzynski. Prior to putting on 23 points in the fourth quarter the Orioles took some experience form the game, with Burzynski racking up 128 yards passing while returns were shared by various players, JJ Heller going for 60 yards on receiving with Karlen login 48. Madden Mahr took away four yards off two receptions, while Blake Pahl ran for a gain of 16.
In punting statistics Heller logged five punts with 90 yards, while in rushing Rudy Kletsch took the ball 16 yards and Jake Lagrander went 25. Pahl took the ball for 38 yards rushing, while Burzynski ran away with 33 years. The outcome Thurs- day puts Stanley-Boyd fifth in the conference with a season record of 2-4 for the Cloverbelt and 3-5 overall.
The mostly young team with just a few seniors plays Elk Mound Friday at Oriole Park. It’s a must win to have a shot at the postseason this year. Kickoff starts at Oriole Park Friday at 7 p.m.
