Stanley Police received a report of identity theft. Incident under investigation.

9:50 p.m.

Stanley Police requested to assist the Chippewa County Sheriff ’s Office.

September 28 10:58 a.m.

Stanley Police requested at the Stanley-Boyd Schools for a theft complaint.

11:55 a.m.

Stanley Police requested at the Stanley-Boyd Schools for a complaint involving a young person.

6:34 p.m.

Police were requested at the Grant Street Apartments for a theft complaint.

September 29 6:27 a.m.

Police responded to a 911 investigate. Contact made at residence and no issues found. Accidental call by child.

7:31 a.m.

Police responded to an animal nuisance call in the 100 block of McKnight Street. Caller was concerned for the welfare of the animal. On police contact the animal appeared to be without issue and removed itself from the property.

11:52 a.m.

Stanley Police responded to an active burglar alarm from a local business. On arrival no issues were found and alarm company was to be contacted.1:01 p.m.

Traffic stop conducted for Michigan license plates not matching vehicle. Operator Keith Hendrickson, age 47, was cited for criminal operate after revocation, display false vehicle3 registration plate, non-registration of auto, and operate without insurance. Vehicle towed due to owner being unreachable.

2:13 p.m.

Stanley Police responded to a child abuse complaint involving a vehicle. The operator was counseled.

4:26 p.m.

Stanley Police responded to assist Cadott Police with a mental health-related call. September 30 4:33 p.m. 911 hang-up call that plotted in the 800 block of West Maple Street. Contact made and everything determined to be fine. 5:40 p.m. Complaint of a young person out of control. October 1 2:16 a.m. Check person regarding persons moving items near an address. Upon arrival officer spoke to an individual with persons advising they had to be out of the apartment by next morning. 4:36 a.m. EMS call for an elderly woman who fell in the 100 block of West Fourth Avenue. Assistance was provided until Stanley First Responders arrived. 1:49 p.m. Stanley Police were requested to respond to a Stanley business for a package that the business felt was suspicious. After responding it was determined that package had been left for UPS and there was no concern. 3:03 p.m. Stanley police were requested to assist the Chippewa County Sheriff ’s Department with a two-vehicle accident. Officer responded and assisted as needed, staying on scene until no longer needed. 3:25 p.m. Stanley Police requested to respond for an EMS call in the City of Stanley. Responded as requested. 3:40 p.m. Stanley Police were requested to make contact with Stanley-Boyd Schools in reference to a young person complaint. Incident was referred to the Marathon County Sheriff ’s Department. October 2 9:00 a.m.

Stanley Police requested for a funeral escort. Completed as needed.

6:26 p.m.

Police requested for a miscellaneous complaint.

7:50 p.m.

Police took report of stolen license plates from the 200 block of East First Avenue.

October 3 3:57 p.m.

Stanley Police requested to respond to the Stanley Travel Stop for a gas drive off. Incident under investigation.

4:20 p.m.

Stanley Police were requested at the Stanley Travel Stop for a gas drive-off. Incident under investigation.

6:57 p.m.

Police requested for a car vs. deer accident.

11:57 p.m.

Police requested for a traffic complaint taken by the Clark County Sheriff ’s Office.

October 4 12:00 a.m.

Community member turned over a vehicle key (Dodge) to the police department as found property.

11:30 a.m.

Stanley Police were requested for a civil standby to retrieve property from a residence on Second Avenue.

3:42 p.m.

Stanley Police responded to an assault that occurred at 108 Industrial Drive.

6:02 p.m.

Walk up complaint of a gas smell at the listed address. Stanley Fire was dispatched to the call.

8:05 p.m.

Check person call at a business after staff observed suspicious behavior. Persons identified and left without incident.

9:01 p.m.

Caller reported someone in a closed business with a flashlight. Upon contacting the owner, it was determined the person had permission to be in the business.

October 5 3:53 p.m.

A woman in the 500 block of North Franklin Street requested assistance with having her young son removed from a residence.

7:45 p.m.

Report of harassing calls and text messages. Report to follow.

October 6 12:55 p.m.

Caller reported a maroon flat bed semi trailer with lumber on it driving erratic and last seen exiting in Stanley. Report to follow.
