STANLEY Police Reports

August 30 12:47 p.m.

Stanley Police were requested for a theft of catalytic converters from a Stanley business. Incident is under investigation. 2:15 p.m. Stanley Police responded to an EMS call. Assistance was provided as needed. 8:47 p.m.

Stanley Police were contacted regarding ongoing harassment. At the complainant’s request this is for documentation purposes only at this time. September 1 1:09 p.m.

An adult male Hound found running at large was taken into custody and transported to the Chippewa Humane Association. The dog has a red collar but no additional identification tags.

7:30 p.m.

Child custody complaint. Both parties were spoken with and advised that this was a civil matter that did not require law enforcement involvement. The woman was advised that the children were with their father in the City of Stanley and appeared to be happy and healthy. Nothing further.

8:51 p.m.

Police assisted EMS with a diabetic patient.

September 2 10:57 a.m.

Stanley Police were advised of a hit and run crash that had occurred in the parking lot of the Stanley-Boyd Schools. Report to follow.

7:44 p.m.

Naomi Paternoga, age 24, was arrested for Domestic D/C, Criminal damage to property, and a probation violation.

September 3 5:21 a.m.

Verbal altercation. Upon arrival officer spoke to both parties who were separated. Nothing physical occurred.

8:14 a.m.

Incident assigned to Stanley PD that was intended for Bloomer PD. 3:37 p.m.

School bus passing violation reported on West Fourth Avenue at McKnight Street. Madasyn Flood, age 20, was cited for illegal passing of a school bus.

6:30 p.m.

Police were requested for a traffic complaint on Highway 29. 8:46 p.m.

Police were requested to respond to a fire call.

September 4 2:28 a.m.

Police were requested to a bar fight.

7:32 a.m.

Stanley Police were requested for an erratic driver on State Highway 29 eastbound. Vehicle exited the driveway prior to the Stanley exit.

7:20 p.m.

Police were requested to respond to Kwik Trip for two people arguing inside the store.

7:47 p.m.

Police were requested to respond to a domestic disturbance. Lashanda Pecha, age 28 of Stanley, was arrested for Domestic Disorderly Conduct. September 5 12:37 a.m. Police were requested for an EMS call at the Homeplace.

4:10 a.m.

Traffic stop conducted for an equipment vio lation. Driver verbally warned.

9:26 a.m.

Stanley Police requested for a 911 call. It was determined to be a misdial and there were no problems.

11:47 a.m.

A traffic stop was logged.

1:08 p.m. Report received of a dog without water. 3:00 p.m.

Report of a man who had jumped from a moving vehicle and was standing in a field while the vehicle was in the ditch.

6:23 p.m.

Stanley PD K9 requested to assist the Thorp Police Department.

September 6 2:39 a.m.

A mental health related call was received, and a man later transported to a facility.

7:23 a.m.

Report of a vehicle vs. deer crash in the 900 block of North Broadway Street. Report to follow.

4:27 p.m.

Police responded to complaint from a young person at the Grant Street apartments. After speaking with the parents and children involved it was determined parental discretion in punishment was the appropriate course of action in the

case.

9:26 p.m.

Police responded to a traffic complaint on Highway 29 westbound from mile marker 106. Police checked Highway 29 for the involved vehicle but did not observe the vehicle pass Stanley.

September 7 9:53 a.m.

Report received of a semi unit hauling a cattle trailer that had caused damage to property at approximately 4:00 a.m. on this date. Report to follow.

10:26 a.m.

Report of a burglary to a garage. Report to follow.

11:18 a.m.

Report of an abandoned vehicle on private property that had windows shot out of it and no plates. Report to follow.

2:37 p.m.

Vehicle accident with utility pole in the business parking lot. No damage to the cable/phone pole but the vehicle bumper received severe damage. Street Department employee respond- ed to the scene and confirmed no damage to the pole and advised that an impactor will be brought the following day to tamper the loose ground around the pole. Business card provided to the operator with incident number.

6:51 p.m.

Report of a vehicle off the road. Upon arrival officer diverted from the call after observing a wanted individual. After addressing the matter with the wanted individual officer responded to the check vehicle complaint but discovered it to be unfounded.

6:56 p.m.

William Shilts located and taken into custody for a valid felony DOC warrant and other charges. Custody transferred over to Chippewa County Sheriff’s Department Sergeant who then transported Shilts to the Chippewa County Jail.

10:10 p.m.

EMS call for a patient who was unconscious. Upon arrival a Stanley First Responder was on the scene and the patient was talking. Officer cleared a short time later.

September 8 8:46 a.m.

Stanley Police were requested for someone who had been in Kwik Trip that smelled like marijuana. The complainant had advised the person and the vehicle had already left Kwik Trip. The area was checked without success.

10:14 a.m.

A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle for a moving violation and two men were subsequently arrested for multiple drug related offenses. Report to follow. 12:29 p.m.

Stanley Police were requested for a young person who walked away from the school. Staff was following the student, but he was refusing to return with them. Student was eventually brought back to the building and then home.
