Posted

Meeting is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Eagle Point Town Hall

On September 8th, Chippewa County Farm Bureau is inviting area farmers to come learn about the requirements and how farmers can apply for producer-led watershed grants.

Rachel Rushmann from the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection will give a presentation about watershed grants and things to consider when applying for a grant. Rachel will answer any questions farmers may have regarding the grants and requirements.

“Chippewa County Farmers are actively engaging in farming practices that influence water quality, says Chippewa County Farm Bureau President Bob Panzer.

“The State of Wisconsin funding of producer-led watershed projects is another tool to encourage farmers to work together to learn new ideas and methods of farming. I am encouraging all Chippewa County farmers to attend more about how to become involved in product-led watershed projects.”

The meeting will start at 1 PM at the Eagle Point Town Hall, with an address of 14802 State Highway 124, Chippewa Falls Wisconsin. Doors will open at 12:30 p.m. and light refreshments will be provided. No registration is required for this event.
