Ray is survived by his wife of 61 years Jean, his son Ray V. Hendricks, 85, of Stanley passed away surrounded by family under the care of Hope Hospice. He was bom in Holcombe on November 19, 1935 to the late George and Esther (Kincaid) Hendricks. He attended Gilman area schools and went on to serve his country in the United States Army after the Korean conflict. Ray was married to Jean Madison on November 28, 1959 at the Cornell Presbyterian Church.

Ray was an Artificial Inseminator Technician for 37 years and farmed in the Gilman area for 20 years. He was a member of the VFW Post 359 in Gilman. He enjoyed spending time with his family, his grandchildren and friends.
