Taking to the floor at halftime Friday, Feb. 21 at Stanley-Boyd, the Relevé Dance Company wowed audiences, performing three separate dance routines in quick succession.
Studio Owner and Director Colette Wirtala shared more after the halftime performance.
“Our competition dance team has three performance groups within it,” she said. “Each group learns a pom routine to share at local high school basketball games. We also take these dances to competitions throughout Wisconsin and Minnesota beginning in March. All of our competition dancers take technique classes throughout the week, as well as other styles. Some of these include jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, musical theater and ballet. Our competition team is made up of dancers ages 5 to 18.”
