Do you procrastinate? Are you waiting until the last minute to get Rodeo tickets for Dad and/or family this Father’s Day weekend?

If that’s you, do know: there are still tickets available online at www.stanleyrodeo.com as well as at Chapman Park on Wednesday from 5 p.m to 8 p.m., and at the newspaper office.

Tickets in advance are cheaper than those at the gate by $5 for both adults and children, with those who wait for rodeo tickets paying $25 for an adult and $15 for children ages 5 to 13. So what will you get for your investment?

A lot.

With Miss Stanley crowned Thursday at the Stanley Theater, the rodeo gates open at 6 p.m. at Chapman Park. With a professional rodeo performance at 7:30 p.m., the Brady Luke Band will follow with a performance at 9 p.m.

Come Saturday there’s plenty to do, with a Cowboy Breakfast at 7 a.m. and a kiddie parade downtown at 1:45 p.m., sponsored by Stanley Bar and Bowl.

With another parade following at 2 p.m., a pedal tractor pull will take place at 4 p.m., followed with a the rodeo gates opening at 6 p.m. With the Rodeo performance taking place at 7:30 p.m., the Jordan Blanchard Band will perform at 9 p.m.

Come Sunday, a Cowboy Breakfast at 7 a.m. will be followed with Cowboy Church at the Bandstand at 10:30 a.m. The Stanley Rod and Gun Club will be hosting their charcoal chicken Dinner from the Stanley Community Center as well at 11 a.m., with horse pull registration for medium puller at the same time.

Come 1 p.m, it’s an old fashioned horse pull across from Chapman Park—and with that, it’s another wait until next year.
