Taking to Spencer Tuesday for a dual meet, the S-B Oriole varsity traveled to Abbotsford Saturday, finishing third as a team after finishing their dual meet record 3-0 for third in the conference on duals. The Oriole varsity has an 8-2 record this season for overall performance.

As to Saturday at Abbotsford, head coach Greg Burzynski said it went well.

“Saturday went well, “he said. “We finished third as a team. I have seen a lot of improvement in our younger guys on this team from the beginning of the season to now. This team continues to work hard every day in practice and it is showing when they step to the center and shake hands. Justin, Troy, Breckin, and Willy all placed second and earned all-conference honors. Troy and Breckin had the opportunity to wrestle the #1 ranked kids in the state at their respective weight classes, so that was great experience for them. Now we are looking forward to regionals this week. Our ‘playoffs’ start now. It’s time to leave it all on the mat!”
