The Village Haus in Boyd was a busy place on Sunday, Dec. 10, 2023 as close to 100 children along with parents, grandparents and others came to visit with Santa and tell him their wishes for Christmas. Helping Santa out was Mrs. Claus, Mr. Elf and Olaf. At the end of their visit, they were each presented with a goodie bag from Mr. Elf. Children were able to color pictures and decorate cookies with frosting and lots of sprinkles. There was also hot chocolate available. And to top it all off they could take a free ride on the horse drawn wagon. Children also signed up to win one of two prizes (the names of the winners were not available at the time of this writing). Miss Boyd and her princess were also on hand to help. This annual event is sponsored by The Boyd Area Chamber of Commerce. Thanks to all who helped out in any way, either by baking cookies, making frosting, setting up the hall, providing the pictures to color, or by doing any of the many other duties, and especially to the Village Haus for donating the use of the hall. Merry Christmas to all, and we’ll see you next year!!
