Stanley-Boyd Schools hosted a music concert festival on March 19, welcoming guest performers from Loyal High School alongside ensembles from Stanley-Boyd Middle School and High School. Instrumental performances were evaluated by James Scheuer and Dr. John Stewart, while choral groups were judged by Gary Rambo and Adam Triebold. Stanley-Boyd High school music director Devon Wenndt shared, “It’s been a fantastic year of learning for the SB Music Department, and our students have benefited from a number of valuable learning opportunities. They have performed at numerous festivals (and more to come yet, with 14 entries at this year’s WSMA State Solo/Ensemble Festival), gotten to work with numerous music educators (for example, a clinic with the UW-River Falls Music Department in the fall), and will even have musicians auditioning for positions in the WSMA Honors Project (all-state band/choir).” He added, “We will continue to work to find new and exciting ways to challenge our students and to develop their passion for music.”
