Four Stanley-Boyd players are set to play in the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association (WFCA) game Saturday, July 19 at 12:00 p.m. in Titan Stadium at UW-Oshkosh.
The annual charity event put on by the WFCA raises money for the Wisconsin Children’s Hospital, with teams divided by school size, with large school, small school, and 8 player games. Students raise funds for the hospital in sponsorship, with millions raised over the years. Stanley-Boyd will play on the North Small School team for this year’s All Star Game.
Stanley-Boyd Head Football Coach Brody Mahr shared more on the upcoming football game.
“Stanley-Boyd Football will be proudly represented at this year’s WFCA All-Star Game, held at Titan Stadium in Oshkosh,” he said. “Cole Brenner, Madden Mahr, and Storm Tiry were all selected to play for the Small School North team, and I’ll be joining the coaching staff. It’s an incredible honor to have four representatives from our program involved.
“The WFCA All-Star Game is one of the premier events in Wisconsin high school football, organized annually by the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association. It features many of the top players and coaches in the state and spans two days. The 8-player game is played Friday, followed by the Small and Large School games on Saturday.
“What makes this event especially meaningful is its mission. The game also serves as a fundraiser for Children’s Hospital Wisconsin, a hospital dedicated to helping kids across the state. All players and coaches take part in raising money leading up to the game. Our program has seen firsthand how important that work is, as one of our own, Jackson Gindt, received life-changing care from the Children’s Hospitals. He was able to return to the field healthy this past fall, and it’s a story that really connects our community to this cause.
“On the field, these three young men absolutely earned this opportunity. Cole was the Chippewa County Player of the Year in 2024, led the state in interceptions, and was a dynamic threat everywhere . Madden, the Chippewa County Player of the Year in 2023, had another All Region season and continued to be a playmaker in every phase of the game. Storm anchored our defensive line and earned All-State honors for the second year in a row. I’ve had a special bond with these guys and coaching them one last time, and getting to do so with my son in the group, makes this a pretty special week for me personally.”
Gates will open one hour before kickoff, with games open to the public and tickets able to be purchased on game day.
