The SBAA All School Reunion is returning to Stanley Saturday, Oct. 5. Registration for the once a year event begins at 10:00 a.m., a silent auction waiting in the gym. The All School Reunion program will start at 11:00 a.m. with buffet style lunch served at 12:30 p.m.
“One of the guest speakers is a 2019 scholarship recipient, Ben Milas,” SBAA Vice President Lyle Swartz said of the All School Reunion program. “Other speakers include class of 1964 representative Norm Christianson and founding Alumni member Pam Parker.”
Proceeds from the event will go to scholarships that benefit Stanley-Boyd students, with the event benefitting 21 students since 2014, a total of $17,500 going to support school programs that include the tech ed, music & drama departments as well as the before and after school program.
So, what about the silent auction items?
“Too many to list off, but there are a few golfing related auctions from 3 relatively close golf courses and gift baskets put together from local businesses,” Swartz said. “Theres something there to interest almost anyone.”
Donations to the silent auction come from local businesses annually, but a significant amount come from the alumni themselves, sometimes as combined class donations and sometimes as individual donations.
Didn’t register yet? Late registration is OK! Just show up Saturday, Oct. 5 at 10:00 a.m. to the Stanley-Boyd High School lobby. Late registration is $35.
