Former Stanley Mayor Al Haas, Richard Jacobson, Jenny Sallis, and SCA President Kristi Weiland were all smiles as they served up brats during the Stanley Community Association’s fundraiser on May 7 at Hansen’s IGA. The event raised money for the SCA’s “Play Big, Dream Bigger” mission—an exciting effort to bring a new, inclusive splash pad and playground to Chapman Park. The SCA is also gearing up for its citywide thrift sales happening May 29–31. Donations for the SCA’s own sale can be dropped off at the Chapman community building on May 27 or 28 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can message the SCA or email sca54768@gmail.com to schedule a different time.
