It’s almost time for graduation, and that means scholarship time for graduating seniors.

That’s right. Now is the time to apply for that all but free money to help pay for your (or your child’s) college degree or certificate.

Located down at the school website under the pupil services tab, the left hand side shows a link that says “Scholarship List.”

Click on it, and you will be directed to a list of opportunities for scholarships with reference to academic excellence, agriculture, art, Athletic/personal fitness, automotive, natural resources/ biology/conservation.

Also included in the list are scholarship for cosmetology, culinary arts/ hospitality management, education, electric cooperative patrons, engineering, forestry and wildlife, as well as ‘general options including everything from the American Red Cross to Boyd Little League—for a partial listing.

Moving on from ‘general,’ the list includes opportunities in grants/reciprocity,’ insurance, local, manufacturing medical, police and corrections, as well as Stanley-Boyd High School Organizations and the VFW or Legion Post.

These opportunities won’t last long though. In order to stand a chance of winning, you must apply!

Scholarships at Stanley- Boyd are overseen by high school guidance counselor Brennan Schrader, who can give students more information on the process and how to apply.
