self or Jordan Donnerbauer to hold or transport to a storage shed until we decorate that weekend before hunting season,” Hoffman said, with donations being accepted now through November 13th, as this is when the NHS plans to put up the display. Although the light display should be available for many weeks as a drive-through spectacle, Hoffman said the local service organization was also planning a feature weekend, complete with Santa, music, some cocoa, and possibly even S’mores. So what about the c word, ‘coronavirus’?

“Everything is always Covid-dependent as far as school affiliation, but if the local community groups are in charge…it can happen – even if the school closes,” Hoffman said. No set date had been determined for the feature night, although thoughts have been for December 11-12, leaving room open for postponing the event in case of bad weather.

“We want to create some winter cheer and unite the community,” Hoffman said of the light display, “hopefully this may become an annual tradition.”
