Preceding the good day at Somerset for this year’s action, the Orioles faced off with Regis October 7, beating the Eau Claire private school 3 – 2 in set matches.
“We played well the first set and struggled a bit with serve reception during sets 2 and 3,” Coach Rainy Antolak said of the Oriole girls. “We refocused and came back to win sets 4 and 5.. I am proud of the team for coming from behind and winning,” she said.
Scores at the end of the day for the match with Regis were 25 – 14, 22 – 25, 20 – 25, 25 – 21, and 15 – 5.
