Several runners earn All-Conference Honors in Cloverbelt Championship

Five Stanley-Boyd runners came away with something to hang on their walls after Saturday’s Cloverbelt Conference Championship cross country race held in Fall Creek. Zach Haas, Breckin Burzinski, and Lukas Milas finished 7th, 8th and 9th and all earned All-Conference by placing in the top 14. The boys were among the best in the conference as a team as well. Their team score of 78 points placed them 4th, which is very competitive with the other top teams with Colby at 72, Bloomer at 64, and the Champion McDonnell Macks at 55. “Our

On the girls side Janelle Schesel continued her Cloverbelt success taking 10th in the girls 5k. That earned the junior her second All-Conference award, after taking Honorable Mention as a freshman. This year’s freshman standout Ady Gustafson was able to get Honorable Mention All-Conference for herself by finishing 20th. “Ady runs the second half of the race so well. She had to catch a couple of girls in the last half mile to get into the top 21 and she dug deep to do it,” coach Mahr commented. The Oriole runners are next in action in Boyceville for the Sectional meet on October 23. Racing starts at 11 am.
