Social distancing with a six pack!

Nona: I don’t know what to do. I’ve never missed a Packer Potluck at the Polish Palace, and they’re having one on Sunday for the big game. The last time one of the regulars didn’t go, they lost their seat at the bar and are still working their way back to the stools.

Pandemic Patty Dear Patty: I know the Polish Palace is about the most hopping place in town, and you sure don’t want to do anything to lose your premiere seating. The waiting list for a barstool at the Palace is just doubt as long as the one to get season tickets to the Packers! And with three big screen TVs, free chex mix and 50 cent beers when the Green and Gold gets over the goal line, you have a tough decision to make, I’m hoping for your sake that because of this virus spreading around, I wouldn’t want to be bellied up to a bar with some of the yahoos around next to me. I mean, they’re in six or seven joints a day. Word was that the annual Tavern League mixer spread COVID across three county lines, clear from Belanger to Ogema and halfway back.

At one place in town, instead of social distancing the patrons at six feet part, they decided to keep them a six-pack apart. And pretty soon it was a five pack and then a four pack and so on.

Patty, we hope you get to keep your seat of honor at the Polish Palace, but wherever you are, let’s cheer on the Green and Gold! Can I get a Go Pack Go! I know Nona has some cool football-themed recipes to share!
