Saint Joseph Catholic School is hosting a pancake breakfast on Sunday, January 26 from 9:30 AM until 1:00 PM. This is a fundraiser for the school, and it also kicks off two very important events. The Pancake Breakfast celebrates the start of Catholic Schools Week in which we celebrate all Catholic schools around the world. Many activities are scheduled that week for Saint Joseph Catholic School including a multi-school rally being held at McDonell High School in Chippewa Falls and is often officiated by the Bishop of LaCrosse.
The second event for the Pancake Breakfast is to help kickoff the Big Raffle we have every year to help raise funds for the school. This year’s Grand Prize is $1,000 along with many other great prizes that have been donated by local businesses and parishioners. If you are interested in buying tickets for the raffle, please contact the school or look for them being sold after masses during February.
The Pancake Breakfast and the Big Raffle combine to be our biggest fundraiser every year. Many people come together to help make this happen and two groups play a very pivotal part in helping raise money. The first group is the Catholic Order of Foresters who help at the breakfast and also match the funds raised at the Pancake Breakfast. The second group is the Knights of Columbus who donate the start up money for the Big Raffle so that we can have the raffle each year. Last year’s pancake attendance was one of the largest we have had and we also sold more raffle tickets than we have in a long time. We hope to improve on both of these this year so please come and join us.
Finally, we would like to give a HUGE thank you to the Foresters and the Knights for their constant support of Saint Joseph Catholic School. Your caring and generosity truly follow in the footsteps of our Lord and we are so grateful for all of you. God Bless!
