Closed temporarily for remodel, the Stanley A&W is now reopened on South Broadway, as of March 26.
Owned by Jerry and Dee Wells, the restaurant at 175 Pine Street in Stanley is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Starting with a location at Owen-Withee, Wells has since expanded to restaurants at Altoona, Spencer, Colby, Cadott and Merrill. Raised in Owen-Withee, Wells believes in giving back to each community she has a restaurant in.
“We plan to reach out to the Stanley-Boyd School District to see how we can help,” Wells said. “The school is a cornerstone of every community and the students are the building blocks of this community.”
Included in the Stanley A&W grand reopening meanwhile are several prize opportunities, including gift cards, t-shirts, and a grand prize 50 inch TV. In addition, free mugs will be given to the first 50 customers who make a purchase and four customers will win one free root bear float a week for a year. In addition, those joining Rooty’s Mug Club can score a free one-time float for all their friends by texting FLOAT to 57501.
As for food, daily specials including two cheeseburgers for six dollars, $1.99 20 oz. floats, and 99 cent kid’s cones.

Now reopen as of March 26, current Stanley A & W menu items include chicken and burger combos as well as cod and shrimp combos. Combo side options include fries, onion rings, chili cheese fries, available with everything from papa sauce to ranch or barbecue. Additional options include root bear floats and Pepsi products as well as shakes and sundaes. Coney cheese dogs and corn dog nuggets are also available, with full menu options available for view at the Stanley A and W on South Broadway.
