Middle School and High School Archers head to State

The Stanley-Boyd Archery team hosted a tournament event at the Stanley-Boyd elementary gym on March 9 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. for friends, family, and community members to come out and support the new formed archery team while getting a glimpse of what they can do. Forty-four of the fifty archery team members attended and while the event wasn’t officially scored, Coach Brandy Pecha stated, “Our middle school would have shot a 3,040 and our high school would have shot a 2996.”
Entrance to the event was free but donations were welcomed to be used to pay the cost of the State tournament on Friday, March 22 in Wisconsin Dells.
Pecha commented, “The tournament had an amazing turnout! We were hopeful that the funds raised would cover our state tournament, however, they did not. But we received a lot of compliments from community members about what an amazing event this was for everyone to come observe our program in action.”
After the archery portion of the event, team members and their families enjoyed a dinner and award ceremony together at the Stanley Community Center.
