The Stanley-Boyd Athletic Booster Club took to the fairways at Whispering Pines Saturday, scrambling at 9 a.m. for a morning of golf.
Participants in the annual golf outing were addressed by Devon Wenndt and Larry Norrell, who explained the rules and specific details for each hole. A two man scramble format with 102 golfers in all this year, participants could purchase mulligans for $10 and take part in a 50/50 raffle, as well as buying tickets for a bucket raffle. Prizes for the bucket raffle included Fest Tickets, Badger Tickets for a game against Penn State, a wine basket, watch, and even a corn hole beanbag board, emblazoned with the initials S-B.
With food provided by Dan Plombon and signs by Ron’ s Designs and Signs of Cadott, the event with multiple local business sponsors got off to a brisk start at 9 a.m., lasting well into the afternoon.
