The Red Cross collected 52 units of blood at the Stanley-Boyd Community Red Cross Blood Drive on Thursday, December 23, with a goal of 61. There were 55 donors who came in, 42 whole blood units, 8 deferrals, and 5 power red units for the total of 52 units. Also included were 2 cancelations and 1 no show.
Those assisting with this drive were Stanley-Boyd Area Schools, who allowed the use of the Boyd Elementary School gym, FFA Alumni who donate string cheese for every blood drive, volunteers from Stanley Lions Club and Partners With OLVH, other site volunteers, the baker, volunteers who called donors, and all the donors who took their time to come in.
The next Stanley-Boyd Community Blood Drive will be Monday, March 7, 2022. If you would like to make an appointment for this drive, please call Donella Christianson at 715-644-3638.
Other confirmed upcoming drives are Thursday, June 2, Fri day, August 5 and Friday, October 15.
