This Christmas season donors have an opportunity to give the best Christmas gift ever, the gift of a blood donation. The Stanley- Boyd Community Red Cross Blood Drive will be on Friday, December 23, 8:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Stanley Community Center in Chapman Park.
There is an urgent need for blood so if you haven’t already made your appointment, now is the time to schedule one by calling the Red Cross at 1-800733-2767, go on-line at RedCrossBlood.org, or call Donella Christianson at 715-644-3638. Give he gift of life this Christmas.
Some types of patients who depend on you are cancer, trauma, sickle cell, burn patients, and patients with chronic diseases. Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood. Whether a patient receives whole blood, red cells, platelets or plasma, this lifesaving care starts with one person making a generous donation.
Donate blood on December 23 and give the gift that only costs a little of your time, but means so much to the patients and their families.
