Stanley-Boyd Drama Club hosts Second Annual Disney Princess Tea Party

Families spent part of their Valentine’s Day stepping into a real-life fairytale as the Stanley-Boyd Drama Club hosted its 2nd Annual Disney Princess Tea Party on February 14 at the Stanley-Boyd Library. The event ran from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and welcomed children from the community for an afternoon filled with princess-themed activities, treats, and meet-and-greets with their favorite royal characters. Throughout the event, children had the chance to meet and interact with a wide lineup of princesses portrayed by drama club members. Special guests included Mulan, Belle, Rapunzel, Cinderella, Ariel, Elsa, Anna, Snow White, and even Glinda — along with the local Boyd princess, Skylar Gohde.

Attendees rotated through several hands-on stations with the princesses, where they shared lunch together, danced at the princess dance party, and took part in themed crafts. Activities included making magic wands, creating Valentine’s cards, and listening to story time readings alongside the royal guests. One highlight for attendees was the opportunity to collect autographs and pose for photographs with each princess, creating keepsake memories from the special day. The tea party served as both a fun community event and a chance for the Stanley-Boyd High School drama club to showcase their costumes, character work, and love of performance — all while bringing a little extra magic to Valentine’s Day.
