The Stanley-Boyd FFA Parliamentary Procedure team clinched first place at the Sectional Leadership Development Event (LDE), held on Wednesday, April 2, in Glenwood City, Wisconsin. The event saw the top six teams from the area competing for the top spot at the State competition. The Stanley-Boyd team’s achievement highlights their skill, dedication, and hard work in preparing for this highly competitive event.
To make it to Sectionals, teams must finish in the top two at their District competition. The Stanley-Boyd FFA team secured their spot after an impressive 1st place performance at the District competition on February 12th. The team’s victory at Sectionals marks a significant achievement, as they now prepare to face the other 9 Sectional winners at the State competition on June 9th-12th.
This victory is especially notable as FFA Advisor Jordan Donnerbauer explains, “This is the 16th time since 2008 that we have won the Sectional Contest and qualified for State.” He notes that it’s a combination of dedication, tradition, and high standards that sets the Stanley-Boyd team apart from the others. “We practice pretty hard. I also expect a lot out of the team. We talk about our tradition of being one of the best at Parli Pro and I believe that helps motivate them,” said Donnerbaur.
With the State competition on the horizon, the Stanley-Boyd community is eager to see what the FFA team will accomplish.
