Jan. 16
4:11 p.m. Stanley Police were requested for a traffic complaint. Incident is under investigation.
Jan. 17
3:14 a.m.
Police were requested for a 911 call. 10:00 a.m. Report was forwarded to the police department regarding an alleged sex offense. Report to follow.
2:16 p.m. Stanley Police were requested to make contact with a person for the Chippewa County Jail. Upon arrival the officer was advised to disregard. 4:35 p.m.
Stanley Police were requested for a hit and run accident at the Stanley Kwik Trip. Incident under investigation.
10:33 p.m. Stanley Police were requested to respond to Thorp to assist Thorp Police with a disturbance.
Jan. 18
10:10 a.m.
A complaint involving a young person was received. 11:39 a.m. Fraud complaint. Still investigating. 11:54 a.m. Dog at large complaint located at Aspirus Stanley Hospital. The owner, Janice Anderson, 57, was contacted and mailed a citation for animal running at large after previously being warned.
12:04 p.m. Fire alarm reported. Upon arrival no flames or smoke were observed and it appeared that there was heavy dust inside the building that may have contributed to the false alarm.
12:57 p.m. Stanley Police were requested for a 911 investigate. Call plotted to a Boyd residence. Contact made with homeowner and everything appeared ok.
2:02 p.m. Stanley Police received a stolen license complaint. Incident documented. License plate entered as stolen.
4:12 p.m. Austin Bauer, 27, was arrested for a Taylor County warrant. 10:39 p.m.
Traffic stop conducted for a moving violation. The driver was warned.
10:59 p.m. Traffic stop conducted for a moving violation. Haley Schutz, 21, was cited for operate without valid license – license expired.
11:20 p.m. Traffic stop conducted for a moving violation. The driver was warned.
Jan. 19
9:04 a.m.
Officer assisted Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office with an EMS call for a woman who had possibly overdosed. Upon arrival the officer spoke to the callers and observed that the woman was conscious but unable to communicate effectively. Officer stood by until Boyd EMS and Chippewa County Deputy responded. Officer further assisted with removing the woman from the home and placing her on a gurney for transport to Sacred Heart.
1:06 p.m. Stanley Police conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle’s door panel/skirting dragging on the highway. Milton Pahl, 38, was cited for operating while revoked (criminally) and failure to install ignition interlock device. Vehicle was removed from the highway by a valid driver. 2:44 p.m.
Vehicle assist with a truck that had lost an oil plug. Help responded and the truck was removed from the road a short time later.
4:47 p.m. Damage reported to City of Stanley plow truck. 5:41 p.m. Stanley Police received a traffic complaint on Highway 29 westbound from mile marker 101. Caller advised he was attempting to advise a snow plow driver he had his amber and green strobe light on. In doing so, the caller advised the plow driver intentionally cut him off and remained behind him with his high beams on. Both parties were spoken to and the incident was resolved.
Jan. 20
9:42 a.m.
Stanley Police were requested for an EMS call. Officer responded and assisted as needed.
11:`16 p.m. Police requested for a personal welfare check.
Jan. 21
11:12 a.m.
Stanley Police were requested for a vehicle lockout. The vehicle was opened.
12:29 p.m. Stanley Police were requested for a 911 call at a Stanley business for an unknown reason. Officer responded and made contact with people at the business. They advised there was no problem at the time.
11:47 p.m. Police were requested for a traffic complaint on State Highway 29.
Jan. 22
2:50 a.m.
Police were requested for a separate traffic complaint on Highway 29.
3:02 a.m. Police were requested in the 400 block of North Oshkosh Street for a trespassing complaint.
1:44 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted. 2:00 p.m. Stanley Police were requested to investigate a physical altercation between inmates at the Stanley Correctional Institution.
Dale Huff, 47, was charged with Battery by prisoners – aggravated assault. Isaiah Guy, 32, was charged with Battery by prisoners – simple assault.
9:43 p.m. Stanley Police initiated a traffic stop for an equipment violation (defective tail lamp) on Highway 29 at 320th Street. Verbal warning.
Jan. 23
8:31 a.m.
Stanley Police assisted Boyd EMS with an elderly person who was not feeling well in the 40 block of Webster Street. Officer stood by and assisted until no longer needed.
11:45 a.m. Officer responded to the listed address for an elderly man who was not unconscious, but breathing. Upon arrival officer met with the wife and was able to speak to the man. Officer stood by until Stanley fire responders arrived.
3:34 p.m. Report of a verbal domestic disturbance made. Upon officer arrival both indicated that there wasn’t anything physical, just verbal. Both parties share two children together and live at the same address. They were advised to separate for the remainder of the evening. They were further warned that if law enforcement were to return due to another verbal disturbance, someone will be arrested. Parties stated they understood. Nothing further.
3:42 p.m. Stanley Police responded to a man experiencing a medical emergency. Officer assisted EMS until no longer needed.
5:03 p.m.
Stanley Police initiated a traffic stop for an equipment violation (defective head light and white light emitting from tail lamp). Driver was verbally warned for equipment violations.
7:14 p.m. Police responded to a complaint of theft by a young person. Individual to be referred to juvenile intake for theft.
9:55 p.m. Stanley Police conducted a traffic stop on a truck pulling a trailer. A significant amount of sparks were observed from the safety chains being too low and touching the pavement.
Jan. 24
9:10 a.m.
Caller on South Broadway reported fraudulent activity on a credit card.
9:57 a.m. Assistance provided to the Lake Hallie Police Department with providing an emergency message to a resident in the Village of Boyd. 11:17 a.m.
A young person was cited for theft from the Stanley Travel Stop.
6:11 p.m. Traffic stop conducted for an equipment violation. The driver was warned.
6:24 p.m. Traffic stop conducted for a moving violation. The driver was warned.
6:34 p.m. Traffic stop conducted for moving and equipment violations. The driver was warned. 7:09 p.m.
Stanley Police conducted a residence check for a wanted person. Brent Decorah, 29, was located and taken into custody on a Taylor County body only warrant.
8:52 p.m. Stanley Police responded to a complaint involving a young person that originated at Stanley-Boyd Middle School. The matter is being investigated.
10:48 p.m. Traffic stop conducted for moving and equipment violations.
Haedynn Leazott, 21, was arrested for operating while under the influence (1st).
